Lord Of The Rings In 12 Parsecs

Β I’ve recently been watching both “The Empire Strikes Back” and “The Return Of The King”, and my mind started wandering a little bit, imagening how awesome it would be mashing the SW and LOTR universes together… But then I realised it would be quite a short LOTR movie. But it would be awesome to see Gandalf pilot the Millenium Falcon πŸ™‚

Oh yeah, for those who aren’t as big of a Star Wars nerd as I am: Well in the first Star Wars movie when Han Solo brags about his ship (the Millenium Falcon), he mentions that “It’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs” … Well a parsec is actually used to measure distance, not speed. Like lightyears πŸ™‚ I just figured it would be fun to mention that in the comic.

As of the look of this comic: I think I probably spent way too much time working on this one. I had to draw Gandalf, Frodo, Frodo’s home and the fucking Millenium Falcon! That’s quite a mix of stuff to draw in a single day. But in the end, it turned out quite epic πŸ™‚ I have to admit that this is probably on the Top 5 KOS comics I’ve made πŸ™‚ So yeah, I was quite pleased to say the least.

Hmmm… Thinking about it. I just might make a few more comics like this at some point. “Gandalf Solo” Β does sound quite interesting πŸ™‚

How much time did you spent on the falcon?

    Thanks!

Yeah probably way too long.. I think like an hour and a half. It was fun the first 15 minutes but then it just got tedious :p
