I have to be honest. I loved Duke Nukem. And in a way, I still do. He is a parody of every 80’s-Action-Hero you have ever seen. He is  extremely patriotic (to America, of course), has lots of corny one-liners (Even if he steals them from other movies), and he is built like a fucking house. Take that character, and put him in a controversial game filled with pornography, obscenities, graphic violence, drug use and other taboo topics, and you got yourself a winner. It was no wonder he was as popular as he was back in the day.

But then, in 1997 something happened… Or rather didn’t happened.  “Duke Nukem Forever”. And after the game was in development for 12 years they shut the project down.  Yeah, every gamer know this story (Although I am not sure if they are completely closed down. We’ll see). Anyway, it has always been fun to imagine the Duke, the most macho of macho men, in a battle with Pokemon… The Carebears of vieogames.

Oh yeah, and the bartender is a cameo of Dominic, from “Video Game Confessions” over at ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com . Go over there and check it out when you read the comic. It’s hilarious 🙂

And so this comic came to be 🙂 It was very fun to draw, and I hope every one enjoys it. I will see all of you people on Saturday for some more comic goodness.
