Escape From Trump

The thing was I wanted to do a John Carpenter inspired comic because the man turned 69 years old on the 16th. Who’s John Carpenter you might ask? He’s just one of the greatest movie directors of all time, that’s who! He’s the guy that directed Escape from New York (and L.A.), The Thing AND Halloween! The man is a living legend!
It also turned out that it was Trump’s inauguration date was on the same week so… Hell! Might as well mash these two together, considering Trump’s love for walls and all that. Also the 2nd and 3rd part of his speechbubble in the 2nd panel are quotes that he has actually said. Make of that what you will.

Anyway. It was really fun to draw Snake Plissken for this comic as well. And I probably did spend a little too much time getting his symbolic gun the way I wanted it BUT oh well!

And if you haven’t seen Escape from New York yet, you should stop reading this and go watch it. Hell, if you HAVE seen it before you should stop reading this and go watch it. It’s a great movie 🙂

Stay awesome, slacker dudes and dudettes!

Ah. Trump. I haven’t responded since Dec. But glad that you are keeping up the good work!

P.S. I don’t think I seen the movie. I’ll record it on my DVR. Stay awesome!

Thanks, buddy! Yeah no worries. I think most of my readers read my comic strips in waves. Glad to see you commenting again though! 😀
Oh if you haven’t seen Escape from New York, you definitely should 🙂

You can tell that Metal Gear Solid (the first 1 for PS) have lifted a lot of things from this movie. So if you’re a fan of that, then you’re in for a treat!
Also, there’s another Trump comic up today in case you missed it 🙂

    YOU stay awesome! 😀

I’m glad you liked the movie! It’s a classic 🙂

I’ve played all the MGS games multiple times since it’s one of my favourite game-series of all time! … But I haven’t gotten around to playing MGS5 yet. 🙂 Once it goes down a bit in price I’ll snatch it tho. Maybe I’ll get that collectors edition thing with Ground Zero 🙂

These days that guy would be played by Gerard Butler of course…
