Mixtape
Now, for those of you who aren’t neck-deep in video game news, Mixtape has been stirring up quite a bit of controversy lately. It’s been getting review scores that make it sound like a once-in-a-generation masterpiece, but at the same time, a lot of people have been pointing out that there doesn’t seem to be all that much actual gameplay.
From what I’ve seen, there are apparently sections where you can literally leave the room and the game just kind of… keeps going without you. Which is certainly a design choice.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m not here to tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t enjoy. If people are having fun with it, more power to them. But it did strike me as a little odd, and before I knew it, my brain had started turning the whole thing into a comic.
It also gave me a chance to poke fun at myself and those legendary teenage “parties” I used to attend back in the day. You know the ones. Three awkward teenagers sitting in a room, listening to music, eating chips, and calling it a social event.
Good times!
Anyway, hope you dudes enjoy the comic. Love your faces!
